Sony has unveiled the free PS Plus games from May 2019.
What Remains of Edith Finch and the party game Overcooked!
What Remains of Edith Finch is an adventure game developed by Giant Sparrow and published by Annapurna Interactive for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.
The game centres on the character of Edith Finch, last in the Finch family line, which has a perceived curse that causes all but one member of each generation to die in unusual ways. Edith has returned to her family’s home off the coast of Washington following her mother’s death to explore the house they hastily abandoned years before.
She learns about her relatives and their deaths by visiting their bedrooms, sealed off and treated as shrines to their memory, with each death played out in a short game-play sequence to the player.
Overcooked is a local cooperative simulation game with a culinary management theme. Ghost Town Games designed the game and Team17 took care of digital distribution. Overcooked has been released since August 3, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Oneplatforms. The Nintendo Switch version was released on July 27, 2017.
The game’s interest lies in the constant need for interaction and coordination between the chefs when preparing meals in a difficult environment full of pitfalls.
Both titles can be downloaded from May 7 for members of PlayStation Plus.
